Race report by Alexander Hagberg
The 5th round of the popular Euro Touring Series was held at the beautiful Luxembourg circuit. The track featured a challenging layout, with the grip levels being medium to low. Many teams and local drivers had spent lots of time doing pre-event testing here, which made it particularly difficult for us to be competitive at this event. We did attend with our whole team, and worked well in order to have the best possible result. Great weather gave us the best possible racing conditions throughout the weekend!

In the modified class, I basically could have qualified on position 4-5 with a bit more luck and without one mistake in Q3. But it wasn't to be. I had to settle for 7th on the grid from which it was very difficult to improve. I do think that my car was fast enough for a higher position as there was big potential in the handling. But it didn't work out that well in finals as I ended up on 7th, same as where I qualified. I was using a prototype of the new ARS - active rear suspension system on my T4. It works very well so far and I do think this will be a very nice option for many tracks. When properly setup, it can really help to improve cornering speed. Magnus Vässmar and Marco Kaufmann qualified for the B-final in the modified class as well.

In pro stock, Marek Cerny took a convincing TQ which he converted into a strong victory, after a close fight with German driver Lars Hoppe. ETS series overall leader Jan Ratheisky drove his T4 to an 8th overall position, after a tough weekend, struggling with top speed in particular. Cernys win here makes the ETS final at Hudy arena the definitive deciding race for the overall championship title. It seems very likely that the XRAY drivers Cerny and Ratheisky will have another battle there. We are looking forward!

Congratulations also to the local XRAY drivers Gilles Choque and Joe Streff who made the prestigious A-final in the Pro Stock class! This is a respectable achievement in this competitive category.

Thanks to all XRAY drivers for your attendance at the ETS in Luxembourg! We won pro stock, but obviously we would have liked a stronger result in Modified and Formula classes as well. Well, until next time! We are continously working hard to perform better. Stay tuned for new and better things from the XRAY team!
